Whispering Bomb Newsletter Deadline - Spring Issue
The deadline for your articles, pictures and other submissions for publication in the Spring 2012 issue is today.
This issue will be dedicated to two long time members we lost in January. Leif Anderberg, the founder of our Chapter, died on January 24. Ralph Glass, one of the first members of the infant Chapter, died on January 8.
Losing these two gentlemen is a tremendous loss for the Chapter. Our deepest sympathies to both families.
If you have pictures of Ralph or Leif from anytime in the Chapter's history, please send them in. If you would like to include a brief story or remembrance it would help make this an issue both their families can keep and reread.
We also need any pictures you took of the great Holiday Party that Spectrum Collision gave us on January 14.
You don't have to be a Pulitzer Prize winning writer, just someone with a story to share. (We can, and will, fix those pesky typos for you.)
Please include your name and a brief description of any pictures you send. If you submit pictures of your car, please note the year and model plus anything else (color, mileage, mods, etc) you want to see in print. Please don't send a link to all the pictures you ever took - Carousel Graphics needs you to pick the photos you want to see in print.

Long Beach BMW steps up to the plate and hosts the first Neighborhood Area Meet and Greet with a tour of their facility, door prizes and a light breakfast for all CCA members.
This is a great way to meet the Chapter members who live near you - (of course, even if you live a little further away, you are still welcome).

Start with brunch (crab, shrimp, clams, salmon, turkey, ham, ribs, omelets, waffles, coffee, champagne and more). There is also a kid-friendly buffet and movies in the Kid Cove. Serve seaside overlooking the busy harbor.
Follow with a boat ride spent looking for whales, dolphins, sea lions, pelicans and other marine life.
Optional dessert: take a scenic drive up the coast to Nelson's on the Palos Verdes Peninsula where you can enjoy a microbrew and views of Catalina Island, the Point Vicente Lighthouse and a gorgeous sunset.

Autocross @ Auto Club Speedway
Welcome to the inaugural BMW CCA LA Chapter/ Beverly Hills BMW autocross of the 2012 season. We are excited to again race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana California. This is a great event for novice and experienced racers alike.
Registration is $65 if you pay in advance and $75 (cash only) if you register at the event. Your entry fee includes instruction, lunch and waters. Extra lunches are $7 each, and helmet rentals are $10.
The gates open at 6:00. Registration and tech open at 7:00. There will be a mandatory driver's meeting at 8:30. First car out will be at 9:00. The event will end by 5:00 or dusk.
Registration is OPEN!!!
