BMW NA has set a goal to raise $1 million this for breast cancer research. You can help by contacting your local BMW Center for the date(s) they will have the cars. OR, if you want a little more time in the car, you can volunteer to transport the test cars from one location to another.
The dates and locations the chapter has been asked to help staff are:
South Bay BMW to McKenna BMW - May 27
McKenna BMW to Pacific BMW - May 28
Pacific BMW to Century West BMW - May 29
Century West BMW to Bob Smith BMW - May 30
Bob Smith BMW to Santa Maria BMW - June 1
Transport drivers will meet at each dealership at 5 PM, pick up a car and drive it to the next dealership, ride the BMW shuttle back to their car and be on their way home by about 8 PM.
They need 25 transport drivers per day. Among the other cars they needed transported are a variety of 1 series, an Alpina B7, and the not-yet-released X6 5.0.

Monty Sidhu Memorial Driving Schools - Day 1
The Central California Chapter is hosting a Driving School and Instructor Training at Buttonwillow Raceway Park.
Students will be divided into two classes, A/B and C/D. It's a short drive Friday night to get to Lancaster for the next two days of schools.

Monty Sidhu Memorial Driving Schools - Days 2 & 3
Open to all. Club membership is not required. If you are 18 or older, hold a valid driver's license and insured you may sign up to drive in any street legal car.
Everyone needs continuing education. If you don't think there's anything left for you to learn, you'll be surprised. It's not about going fast; it's about going safe.

Saturday's school is formatted as a standard 4 session school. Sunday will have an abbreviated schedule which ends at 3 PM with an opportunity to watch the second Club Race of the weekend.

Car Control Clinics teach the basic handling skills all drivers need to be safe. Students learn, through classroom and behind-the-wheel exercises, how to brake in emergercy situations, to interpret and respond to their vehicle's input and to deal with unexpected conditions.
Saturday's clinic is full. Applications are being wait listed. Sunday's clinic still has room.
Sunday students aren't scheduled for a track session but they have the perfect location for viewing the final Club Race of the weekend.

Saturday's Club Race will be an evening race. You can cheer on your favorite racer while enjoying drinks and dinner at the Budweiser Balcony. The Sunday Club Race will be held during a break in the Driving School Schedule.
If you've never had an opportunity to watch Club Racing, this will be a perfect time to start. The higher elevation at the Budweiser Balcony provides a fantastic view of the whole track.
