Gates open at 6:30, registration begins at 7. For this event they will accept 80 entries, with BMWs given preference. The events usually fill up before 7AM, if you want to drive get there early! For details about the event, see the San Diego Chapter Web Site.

This Chapter held its first meeting on April 17, 1970. Were you there? Do you know where that meeting was held?
From the first small gathering of proud 1600 and 2002 owners, we've grown 200 fold.
Whether you've been a member for 40 years or 4 months, you don't want to miss this celebration.
The day starts at 9:30 AM with a scenic tour through the foothills. Returning to BMW of Monrovia about 11 AM, you can try your hand at a radio-controlled car autocross, check out the vendors, read old copies of the Whispering Bomb and have a bite to eat.
Do you have a BMW from the 1970's?, 1980's?, 1990's?, 2000's? We are looking for one car from each of our 40 years to display. If you think your car should be in the line up, complete the registration form below and send it in.
Pre-Registration is HIGHLY recommended. If we don't know you're coming, we won't have enough food or radio controlled cars for you.

The chapter has reserved a block of rooms at the special group price of $118 (including tax) per night.
With tons of activities in and around the resort, you can do as much or as little as you like. Sleep in in your cozy casitas or watch the sun rise from your patio.
Start the weekend early and join the group for a wine tasting and tour Friday afternoon at Shadow Mountain Vineyard.
A Saturday evening BBQ is scheduled to give everyone a change to get together.
Some activities required advanced reservations (i.e.: golf, guided horse back rides, spa treatments) and some are spur-of-the-moment (i.e.: swimming, mountain drives, tennis).

Tire Rack Street Survival
Every year, over 5,000 teenagers die in car accidents, accounting for more than 40 percent of fatalities in that age bracket. Thousands more are hurt, many with permanently life-altering injuries.
BMW Car Club of America Foundation has partnered with Tire Rack to develop a non-profit, national driver education program aimed at teaching teens the skills they need to stay alive behind the wheel.
Tire Rack Street Survival® is an all-day driving program which uses both classroom and in-car instruction to provide young drivers with the real world experience they need to survive on the road. Using experienced instructors in a controlled environment, the students participate in a variety of exercises such as accident avoidance, skid recovery and emergency braking.
Open to any driver between the ages of 16 and 21. Students do not need to be BMW CCA members. Students should bring the car they normally drive.

If you want to work a few hours at the BMW CCA National booth, please contact us. You get credit for each new member you sign up. That will give you a good start towards winnig an M School at the BMW Performance Center, an entry to O'fest 2011 or a Valentine radar detector.
